Cock by Mike Bartlett

"An experienced ensemble who all masterfully handle the demands of an essentially dialogue driven work. There’s never a dull moment"
Sydney Arts Guide
"As the lights dimmed and the first scene began, I instantly felt a part of something, connected to something..."
Newcastle Live
"The play is excellently staged on a bare stage... Mathew Lee’s direction is very impressive. With no set or props the focus is entirely on the actors and performance and this has clearly been taken to full advantage."
Theatre Now
John needs a break from his needy boyfriend, he needs to find himself and he needs to be single. John then meets the girl of his dreams. Torn between the two, John flip flops between male and female, straight and gay, whatever he is. Full of guilt and indecision, John feels the pressure as, the truth be told, he doesn't know what he needs. And his boyfriend and new girlfriend need him to decide.
Wowing audiences in London, New York, Melbourne and Sydney, Mike Bartlett's Cock is a wild exploration of sexuality and ambivalence, and as lovers battle for their claim, we learn this is the ultimate cockfight.
