Ruben Guthrie by Brendan Cowell

Katurian is a fiction writer in a totalitarian state. Two detectives are interrogating him over the gruesome nature of his short stories and their similarities to a number of child murders occurring in his town.

Playwright Martin McDonagh (The Beauty Queen of Leenane, film In Bruges) has combined the perfect mixture of thrilling plot twists and side-splitting black humour. Winner of the 2004 Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Play, The Pillowman questions who is to blame, and when does a story cross the line?
